Cinnamon Apple Bread
Here is a fall breakfast bread that is delicious and easy to make. This applesauce cinnamon bread features a delicious crumb topping and a moist interior with banana, applesauce, and pecans. Serve this cinnamon apple bread with our delicious pumpkin butter.
Cinnamon Apple Bread Recipe
1. c unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated white sugar
1/4 c. unsalted butter softened
2 large eggs
1 ripe banana
3 tablespoons milk
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1 t ground cinnamon
1 t ground nutmeg
1 t ground allspice
1 t ground ginger
1/4 t salt
1 t vanilla extract
1/2 c chopped pecans
Crumb topping
2/3 c brown sugar
2/3 c chopped pecans
1.5 tsp cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350. Butter and flour a loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and eggs.
3. Add applesauce, vanilla, banana, and milk and combine well.
4. In a separate medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt.
5. Mix flour mixture into the wet mixture and stir until smooth.
6. Fold in pecans.
7. In a small bowl, mix together ingredients for the crumb topping.
8. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Top with crumb mixture.
9. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf come out clean.
